I just have to say that this was probably the best pork tenderloin I've ever had / made in my life! I came across the recipe from one of my new foodie buds, Girlichef who blogged about her experience with her "Oinker", who happened to get the recipe from another foodie who presented this awesome Oink Oink recipe. OMG!!! I loved it.
Just for the record, I have to say I made 2 changes. One on purpose and one by accident. Girlichef had mentioned that the mustard flavor was a bit much for her and since I'm not a mustard lover at all I knew I had to change that. Instead I used horseradish! It was great! Second...I totally forgot to add the rosemary. (blonde moment I guess)....which actually turned out to be just fine because you see...I only had one tenderloin so I was going to only use 1/2 of the marinade. Weeeeellll....I had decided to make fried rice with this (soy sauce based marinade made me think orient which made me think fried rice). Ya know what I did? I used some of the leftover marinade in my rice! Holy Cow! Thank you so much for posting the recipe Girlichef!!
I'm not going to post the recipe or directions here cuz you can visit the other two blogs and get it. Who knows, you might like how it was originally intended. And if I haven't convinced you yet....just know that this baby was cooked with slices of garlic embedded in the meet! I think that was the first thing that caught my attention! (I promise, I won't breathe on you!!)
An oink portion for me, please!
ReplyDeleteA lovely baby, this tenderloin. I like it with balsamic vinegar, too.
You KNOW how much I love garlic, so I don't mind HA! Looks great! BTW, I love your new header.

ReplyDeleteNICE JOB!! I bet the marinade did rock in the rice...and yes...that garlic! I'm definitely doing it w/ horseradish next time!
